Here are some communities of which I am a part and which deeply impacted my Tech journey, as well as helped me develop other core skills.

Inclusive Open Source community, helping out new folks to kick off their Open Source journey and do their first even Open Source contribution. Highly focuses on collaboration culture.

The hackathon community highly focuses on building projects around Open Source and encouraging new Hackers to learn Tech and Open Source Tools.

They also have a 3-month Open Source fellowship program.

▶️ Community Classroom

Providing Quality Education and mentorship for free, also helping out people get their journey started with Open Source and Cloud-Native.

Also organizes lots of Hackathons and contests.

Community of content creators to help out other content creators. Creators produce lots of content around Open Source and on other technologies. Also, run some Open Source community projects.

Growing in community Tips:

  • Join some of the communities and try out which community works best for you and helps you grow, and stick to that community.

  • You have to put an equal amount of effort into what the community is putting in you.
